Good Girls & Boys Guide I

For Good Girls & Boys: A Teenage guide on RebELLinG.

Part I: Symptoms

If your parent’s have at least 5 of the following symptoms, then you are likely to be or become a rebel. And these are the common symptoms:

Parents ALWAYS think they are right and when they say you are wrong, you ARE wrong.

They always say that you are lazy and “no good” at all.

They blame you of something and when they realize that they are mistaken, they would never apologize.

They do not know that ‘reasoning out’ and ‘shouting back’ are different things.

Their first impression on you LASTS.

They would force you to take a course that they never had a chance on when they were at your age.

They never listen to you.

They ALWAYS do the “talking”, you do ALWAYS the “listening” --that’s COMMUNICATION to them.

They would blame your buddies for your bad habits and that they are a bad influence.

They don’t think you are THAT talented.

They don’t know what “moral support” means.

They say you are irresponsible but they expect you to prioritize family priorities.

They expect you to show NO EMOTION at all when they are scolding you, judging your very own person.

They think you are ungrateful and don’t care at all.

They would use your very words against you.

They never expect anything good would come out of you at all.

They love to compare you with someone you’re age how better off they are than you.

They never get tired telling you how responsible they were when they were at your age.

They love to include in their sermons about “education” that they had to walk 3-5 kilometers just to go to school.

To be continued...

If you have something to add to the list. Send me a message, ok!
